According to the article in the NY Post Scottie is not a happy man in how he was portrayed in The Last Dance. Jordan called Scottie Selfish during the 1st night 1 of the documentary. The show also showed Scottie on the bus having a meltdown screaming and cursing at then GM Jerry Krause. It even brought up the Game 3 in 1994 when Jordan was not on the team. In that game Pippen sat the final 1.8 seconds when coach Phil Jackson called an inbounds play for Toni Kukoc.

If I was Scottie I would be foaming at the mouth after watching the documentary on Jordan and the Bulls. While the film celebrated Micheal and he was heaped praise over and throughout the 10 hours of film the narrative of beating Scottie down was persistent. I have always been tough on my treatment of Scottie ever since that game in 1994, that was until I had the opportunity to interview Fred Sims Jr. who is a pro basketball player and a friend of Scottie’s. Fred broke down Scottie’s intention in a completely different way. Listen here. https://art19.com/shows/c7f9cc6d-c19a-421c-b477-03da4f4f8c1a/embed?playlist_type=playlist

Also watching The Last Dance as much as I felt Scottie got beat down I feel he was celebrated. During the 97-98 season Pippen had surgery on October 6th and missed a large part of the beginning of the season. The Bulls were not the Bulls without him. While I completely understand and agree with Scottie in how he was portrayed throughout the entirety of the documentary this showed just how important he was to the Bulls dynasty. My opinion of Scottie changed with that and my interview with Sims Jr. Without Scottie the Chicago Bulls were A ordinary team, with Scottie on the floor with Jordan they were a super team.
